Blobtopia Brainrotting Wasteland is a hybrid exhibition ensuing from the performative workshop Slop Factory 5000, which starred Sloppy Bogroll (with live face mapping), Blobubu (ideas generator), Poli-nulu (guide through the Slop galaxy) and Dan-lulu (Slop Factory floor supervisor).

Commissioned for the Collective Studio, it is a collaboration with Paul Raymond.

Welcome to the Slop Factory 5000. We are now in a new era of the Internet. Dah-no-lah. Databases and information have melted into a blobby pool, and your identities have been lost. As compensation, the almighty digital gods have issued you with new characters.

In the Slop Factory, we take privacy very seriously. Please do not share your identities with each other, but you can share which colour group you have joined. Please make sure to find your new community.

In the world of slop, there are never too many images. In fact, we like to generate, endlessly. The more, the better, the sloppier. We want to swamp the ocean of content. Just blobby perfect. And of course, we want our communities to feel included. (wink) Throughout this afternoon, you will be given a series of tasks to help us to build this new blob world. Who needs AI when we can make our own slop?

Well, well, well my gremlins, thank you for your efforts. We have now officially reached blobbification. Oh-kah-tee. As from now, you are released from your duties. Enjoy the slop you have created. Meander through blobby worlds. Reminiscent of the factory cues. Care for your community of gremlins.
