Blobtopia Brainrotting Wasteland




Aka Slop Factory 500 workshop for the Collective Studio (The NewBridge Project)  in collaboration with Paul Raymond.


A performative workshop featuring Sloppy Bog Roll, Mr Blobby and numerous gremlin creatures resulting in a hybrid exhibition.

Decoding AI




Decoding AI is a project co-designed by Strange Quark and the INFRA Atelier at Manchester School of Art in collaboration with Dr Sammy Woodford and Michael Walsh, with a contribution Dr José Miguel Lameiras.


Decoding AI took place in January 2025 and resulted in an homonymous exhibition at Gallery 2 in the Manchester Technology Centre.


The Magicians Organise Themselves 




The Magicians Organise Themselves is a digital exhibition with an-person opening at the project space in Newbridge that took place on 11th December 2024. The exhibition showcased works created by the Collective Studio on the same day as the opening, prompted by Esoteric Orders, a performative and participatory workshop.

The exhibition connected the physical and digital realms through the prism of magic. Rooted in magic and witchcraft counterculture from the North of England, the focus is on DIY practices, collaboration and magical thinking.





We pretended It Wasn’t Green




"We Pretended It Wasn't Green" is an immersive art project that takes viewers through a surreal world where nature, perception, and climate ecosystems blur. The installation features a live generative animation showcasing a frog and enchanting mushrooms intricately woven into a constantly changing narrative influenced by real-time earth data from satellites spinning above us.

ˈbər-b(ə-)liŋ



A continuous robotic performance, which extends from a previous work (nɑnkə ˈmjuːnɪkəbəl) commissioned by GoMA in Glasgow. These performing robotic organisms respond to the actual space with movement and sound by collecting live air pollution data. The organisms feed off of the air pollution, creating a burbling soundscape. Live-streamed to the virtual universe full of gelatinous sheaths generated by the audience's presence, pumping out quenelles of meaning together.



Planet Cramond


Planet Cramond is the digital world was co-designed with members of Asteria Creative (creative branch of Asteria Space and Satellites) to document the first Augmented Reality exhibition that took place on Cramond Island outside Edinburgh. As part of the project, Strange Quark 3D scanned the whole island using Lidar technology and created a digital environment for the exhibition.
